Thanks to Karen Hamaker-Zondag we have the birth data of Osama bin Laden from his hospital records: March 10, 1957 at 10:58 AM BAT in Jiddah, Saudi Arabia 21N30; 39E12. His ascendant is 13:55 Taurus in the Vedic chart and 7:11 Gemini in the tropical chart.

This individual whose name has been emblazoned in the consciousness of the world seems to be an instrument of destiny from an inspection of his Vedic chart.  It is alleged that he was one of the people responsible for the destruction of the World Trade Center Towers on September 11, 2001.

The Guides of the race have repeatedly taught that we are one humanity, that we are brothers, that we should live by the golden rule, to treat others as we would be treated, to worship the Almighty and not the dollar, but we forget because we are interested in ourselves and our own well being.  Now this individual comes along and by his action on 9/11 awakens us to the fact that there is a cancer in the body of the world.  Where there is tyranny/injustice/hatred, it must be replaced with justice/goodwill and a healing of relations. Revenge and violence only invokes more violence. Military actions as solutions never work. They only destroy and kill. That is the path we appear to be following.  

Osama was born with Ketu (the South Node of the Moon) conjunct Mars in a 2 degree orb. That is like a double Mars, as Ketu takes on the qualities of Mars, and because Ketu is in Aries, it again takes on the qualities of its dispositor, Mars.  In addition to all of this, Ketu is conjunct the  heliocentric north Node of Mars!  Mars is a warrior. It fights for justice. It fights evil.  In Vedic astrology Ketu presents crises and challenges so that the entity may turn to spiritual aspirations.  Ketu is not interested in worldly success.  It strives for God consciousness, for liberation.   Ketu is in the 12th, a house of religious and/or spiritual goals. The combination of 12th house, Ketu and Mars engenders a righteous religious mission to bring to the world's attention the need for JUSTICE.  Mars is in Taurus in the 1st house in the Vedic chart.  Mars confers a fiery, courageous, dynamic, passionate temperament. He has strong likes and dislikes. He is fearless. He perceives himself as an instrument of the divine. The combination of 12th house, Ketu and Mars, can manifest as the urge to FIGHT FOR A CAUSE.  In the tropical chart the combination of planets in Pisces and a Mars conjunct the Ascendant, is saying the same thing. It is also a world savior complex.

Osama viewed the materialism and the decadence of Western society as a vile, degrading influence. He felt that the USA was hypocritical and racist in its foreign policies, especially, in that it overly supported Israel.  He particularly objected to the Israeli army occupying the Palestinian lands for 53 years.  Enough was Enough!  Osama's mission was to attack the country whose major influence created the misery for the Palestinian people.  He wanted them to also know the meaning of suffering.

 Saturn as lord of the 9th and 10th is a most auspicious planet in this chart. It is a great benefic in the 7th house where it is most powerful.  The aspect of Mars in the 1st opposite Saturn in the 7th form a favorable union (raja yoga) for good fortune, status and success. A Mars-Saturn aspect gives tremendous will power, strength, perseverance, determination and an indomitable nature, however this is one of the most difficult astrological aspects.  While Mars is lord of the favorable 7th house, it is also the ruler of the 12th house.  In Vedic astrology, the 6th, 8th and 12th houses are considered as unfortunate.  They are known as the Trik or Dusthana houses.  They  bring difficulties and challenges in the life. The aspect of Mars, as the 12th lord, on Saturn as the lord of the spiritual 9th house, can express as RELIGIOUS FANATICISM. The rulers of these Trik houses can blemish the houses they rule and in which they are located.  Therefore Mars in the 1st house can manifest as accidents, illness, surgery, violent acts on his person. There can be losses, even loss of life. The aspect of Mars, as the 12th lord on Saturn as lord of the 10th can also express as dishonor, a fall in status.  Mars represents the astral body, the desire body, the passional nature, the animal soul.  It is ready to act quickly, forcefully, violently, courageously, and/or selfishly.  Saturn, when used constructively disciplines the animal soul, curbs its appetites, stabilizes the entity. There is a tendency to withdraw into oneself, to contemplate, to be responsible, to be an ascetic.  Saturn as lord of the 9th and 10 brings good fortune and success in the material world.   These placements may be difficult for the spouse. With Saturn in the 7th he may be separated from spouse by residing in foreign countries.   The dashas (planetary periods) give the timing for what is evident in the natal chart.  At the time of the 9/11 attack he was in a Saturn-Sun period. The Sun is very well placed in his natal chart. His excellent Saturn period ends in December 2009.

Mars in the Navamsa (the 9th harmonic chart) is exalted.  This means that in the natal chart, the houses it rules (the 7th and 12th) yield excellent results.  The 7th house gives him status and marriage, and the 12th house gives him religious fervor and residence in foreign countries.  Saturn in the Navamsa is in its own sign.  This reinforces positive results relating to the houses it rules in the natal chart. The Sun in the Navamsa is in the 1st house.  The Sun is the significator for the 1st house.  It gives him good vitality.

The key question is: What is the point of development of Osama? Hatred, resentment, and negative thoughts are breeding areas for action under Mars/Saturn aspects.  They may eventually take their toll on the health of the native. The physical destruction of the World Trade Center in New York City on Sept. 11, 2001 may resound in karmic payback time in future lives.  Yoga karaka planets (Saturn in this chart) achieve their effects in the Dasa (planetary period) of the planet. This action was taken during the favorable Saturn-Sun-Venus Dasa. Esoterically, Saturn is the planet of opportunity.  We have the opportunity to work out past karmas.  Through the discipline and control of our materialistic nature we can express the light of the One Soul.

With a Taurus ascendant, Venus its ruler, is in the 10th house conjunct Mercury and the Sun. This stellium forms many raja yogas (favorable unions) for wealth, children, education, intelligence, real property and happiness. The rulers of the 1st, 5th and 9th houses (Venus, Mercury and Saturn) are most beneficial and in this chart they are in cardinal houses establishing a positive relationship. Venus is combust Mercury and is slightly weakened but in the Navamsa it is exalted in Pisces conjunct Mercury in the 11th house of financial gain. Venus grants worldly comforts and opulance. There is a cancellation of a debilitated Mercury in the Navamsa as it is joined with exalted Venus.  Osama is idolized by his Moslem public and especially by Moslem women

The Sun is the significator of the 10th house.  He is regarded as an authority figure.  His self-confidence and courage result in success in all his undertakings.  This house shows his stature in the world: honor, wealth, prominence, fame. It is well aspected by Venus and Mercury.  Mercury in the 10th adds a great intellect.  He can communicate his beliefs easily to influence others. While many favorable raja yogas are formed in the 10th house, Venus is also the ruler of the 6th house.  By its conjunction with the Sun and Mercury, there can be challenges relating to his home life, to his mother, to his financial income and to his children. 

With retrograde Jupiter in Virgo in the 5th house he is very intelligent, well educated, has good fortune and is blessed with many prosperous children. In past lives he was no doubt religious, honorable, generous and acted selflessly for the benefit of others.  He has a strong faith in God.  Jupiter aspects Mars and the 1st house. It bestows good health, and vitality.  Mars is lord of the 12th and the 7th houses.  Jupiter's aspect favors a good marriage, pleasures of the bed and a respect for religion.  Jupiter also aspects the 9th house and 11th house, blessing him with a wealthy father, financial gain and a yearning for the spiritual life. However, Jupiter is also lord of the 8th house and as such it can bring challenges, changes and difficulties in Osama's life. It can also bring unhappiness for his father or a father figure, as Jupiter aspects the 9th house which signifies father. Jupiter square Moon forms a Gajakasari yoga, one that bestows good fortune, fame and success for the reason that in past lives he has endeavored to be righteous, honorable, sincere, honest, spiritual and/or he was highly educated.    

Mars and Saturn both aspect his 4th house, giving him homes, land, vehicles and perhaps anxiety and sorrow for his Mother.  Saturn's aspect on his 9th house may express as upholding an orthodox view of religion.  The aspect of Mars on the 8th house can mean accidents, obstacles, mode of death, and/or inheritance.

With his Moon in Gemini in the 2nd house, he is well educated, eats good food, has good speech, has very strong emotions, is sensitive, caring and is financially blessed. In the Navamsa the Moon is with Ketu and Neptune in Sagittarius (religion) in the 8th house. Ketu (which is like Mars) acts like its dispositor, Jupiter.  Jupiter, Neptune and Ketu influence his Moon (mind) to seek god consciousness.  In Vedic astrology the Moon represents the mind integrated with the emotional nature.  In Theosophy, it is known as the Kama-Manas.  As we realize the oneness of Life; acknowledge that we are enslaved by our beliefs, worries, and fears (from the present and past lives), we begin to tread the Path of Enlightenment that leads to Moksha or liberation.

The Moon is in the Lunar Mansion or Nakshatra of Ardra, whose deity is Rudra, the god of destruction. In order for the expression of the divine to manifest, all that hinders the growth of the soul must be destroyed.   Osama was the instrument of Rudra.  Rahu (the N. node of the Moon) as the ruler of Ardra, is the karmic planet ready to meet out justice for injustice.  Rahu acts like Saturn.  It operates under the Law of Karma.  Osama was wielding his veritable sword of vengence on 9/11/01.  

The lord of the ascendant, Venus is in the Nakshatra of Shatabhishak, also ruled by Rahu. The tribulations in life imposed by Rahu and Saturn lead eventually to the expression of the Divine Plan. Mercury also is in the Nakshatra of Shatabhishak.

Mars and Ketu are in the Nakshatra of Krittika, ruled by the Sun.  The Lord of Fire, the God Agni, is the deity for this Nakshatra and its symbol is the razor which can cut away the dross or harm.  It can be a most antisocial force.  It can also arouse dedicated divine service.

Jupiter is in the Nakshatra of Uttara Phalguni, ruled by the Sun. This asterism represents the courage of victorious fighters in the great battle who undertake a mission of righteousness.  It is interesting that three of the Nakshatras are ruled by Rahu, and three are ruled by the Sun, the symbol of the soul.  The Sun in the 10th is a most dominating influence for power.  Rahu is in the 6th house of conflict and enemies.

In the Navamsa Mars is even in a more favorable position.  It is exalted in the 9th house conjunct a strong Saturn in its own sign of Capricorn. The combination of Mars, 9th house, and Saturn as lord of the 9th, again can express as religious fanaticism, a world savior and/or the need to fight for a cause.  His perceived great mission was to be a victorious warrior for righteousness in the Arab world.

From our research we know that the effect of a Solar Eclipse can occur as much as three months before an event.  Well, on June 21, 2001 there was a solar eclipse EXACTLY on Osama's MOON.  How's that for the timing of an event! His Moon rules the 3rd house whose significator is Mars, the God of war. Mars is in the 12th house from the Moon opposing Saturn in the 6th house (of enemies) from the Moon.  The Jupiter-Saturn conjunction on May 28, 2000 was on his natal KETU and on his MARS. It would appear that the 9/11 catastrophe was a destined occurrence.
